FRAN GILCHRIST THUNDER RUN 2019

FRAN GILCHRIST THUNDER RUN 2019

It’s mission complete for Fran at the Thunder run 24 hr race.  His goal was to complete 100 miles in 24 hrs and that is exactly what he did!

Not only that, he managed to bag himself a 6th place finish out of nearly 100 runners over the weekend.  It is testimony to his training and work ethic, and also shows his future potential!

Here is Fran about to complete his last lap!

WINGS FOR LIFE RUN 5TH MAY 2019 RUTH FARRELL

WINGS FOR LIFE RUN 5TH MAY 2019 RUTH FARRELL

This event takes place on the first Sunday in May all around the world.  Over 120,00 people took part in the event this year which starts at exactly the same time wherever you are.  People in Sydney are running in the dark, some are running as the light fades, some see the sunrise and in Kidsgrove, it’s a bit dull but high noon.  I was taking part in the App Run – I wore my free event t-shirt and a proper number and an app on my phone, all I had to do was press the button and start running.  Then, after half an hour a virtual car would start , the car speed increases every half an hour and when the car catches you that’s it, the phone beeps and your “race” is over. LONDON MARATHON 2019 – LESLEY MURPHY

LONDON MARATHON 2019 – LESLEY MURPHY

Another race and another well deserved PB for Lesley, knocking 15 minutes and 3 seconds off her previous marathon PB giving her a finish time of 3 hours 22 minutes.

After getting a ‘Good For Age’ (GFA) marathon result at the London marathon 2 years ago, she guaranteed herself an automatic entry into the London marathon and so after a break of a year, used her place for the 2019 London Marathon. Continue reading LONDON MARATHON 2019 – LESLEY MURPHY

4 VIILAGES HALF 2019

With the first race of 2019 under their belts, Danny and new athlete to Running Plans Fran have kicked off their year ahead with blinding runs at Helsby 4 Villages Half Marathon!

As he reaches the end of our 3rd week together, Fran has already demolished his half marathon best by a whopping 3 mins 48 seconds!!

On his way to half marathon victory, he also set 10K, 15K, 10 mile & 20K PBs at the same time too!

We look set for exciting times to come along with plenty more PBs and brilliant race results!

Well done Fran!

Danny also had a blinding run, with a time of 1:17:05 – his best HM time in 2 years!

What makes Danny’s run so remarkable is that his mileage and faster sessions have been reduced since he took a fall at work over Christmas and broke some ribs!

Well done Danny!

Earlier in the week, Charlotte also got another 2 PBs during a training session!

She’s now the proud owner of a new 2 mile & 5K PB – I think that she must love the hard sessions and want more?!

Well done everybody!
