I highly recommend sports massages by a competent and qualified therapist.
All of my plans have space for my clients to plan in their regular massage. After all, if you’re asking your body to work hard and perform well, you need to do your bit to keep it working as efficiently as possible, and that means having well looked after muscles and bio-mechanics, which is best done by somebody who knows what they’re doing.
I highly recommend Lee Wilkinson of LW Sports Therapy; I’ve been on the receiving end of his ability, knowledge and skills when I ran the Pennine Way over the course of 6 days.
Lee was my therapist for the duration, he gave up his time and his skills to be there to put me back together and keep me going. Hand on heart, I can honestly say that if it wasn’t for Lee, I wouldn’t have got through the second day at best, never mind the whole 6 days.
I was wrecked and every few hours he rebuilt me so I could go out to run for another few hours each time.
His advice and expertise was second to none, he didn’t hold back when he told me what damage I was doing to myself, and supported me when I said that I wasn’t going to quit.
As a runner himself, he knows the mindset and determination of a runner and can advise you how to get the best for your body but also satisfying that stupidity that we all have, where we know we shouldn’t run but do anyway!
You can visit Lee at his Crewe clinic, or he can do home visits too.
Contact him via his Facebook page, or call him on the number in the picture above.
