BIG UP TO RACHEL ON HER BIG HALF BIG PB
5 weeks out from her target race, and today achieving a half marathon PB by 1:20, Rachel is proving to herself that her hard work and consistent 100% effort to each and every run is just what’s needed, to be just where she needs to be, in perfect time to go into her target race confidently and able to smash her goal and PB.
Last week she achieved a personal all-time highest mileage week of 60 miles which has obviously set her up perfectly, heading into today’s race, not just achieving a half marathon PB, but also cracking a second fastest 5K time, 10K & 10 mile personal bests in the process.
We’ve a few more weeks of work to do to fine tune and add a bit more speed-endurance to her armoury before settling down a bit and resting before tackling her big target race and smashing her goals and PBs!
Results like this are the produce of the self-discipline of getting out there running and working hard not just when you want to, but at those times when you don’t want to! Come rain or shine, Rachel is the one that’s out there, doing double days, regular 50-58 mile weeks and tackling every tough session with grit and tenacity!
